Aluminum Plate and Sheet 5052-O
Aluminum 5052-O is an aluminum alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments and when exposed to salt water. The O temper (annealed) indicates the material has been heat treated to achieve low strength and high ductility, allowing it to be easily formed, welded, and machined. - Composition: Aluminum alloy mainly containing magnesium and small amounts of chromium, providing excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability.
- Properties: High corrosion resistance, especially in marine and salt-water environments. In the annealed condition, it is extremely malleable and easy to process, with moderate mechanical strength.
- Heat treatment: The O temper is an annealed state, meaning it has been cooled after stress-relief processing to improve ductility and facilitate forming.
