Aluminio 3003-O
Aluminum 3003-O is an aluminum alloy in the O temper (annealed), which provides excellent formability and a high degree of ductility. It is widely used in applications requiring high corrosion resistance and ease of forming without the need for additional heat treatment.
Composition: Aluminum alloy with significant manganese content, which improves corrosion resistance and durability.
Properties: High corrosion resistance, good formability, moderate tensile and impact strength, excellent weldability, and good cold-workability.
Heat treatment: The O temper (annealed) provides a softer, more flexible structure, making forming and welding easier.
Applications: Ideal for applications requiring high formability, such as molded products and aluminum components not exposed to high mechanical loads.
- Excellent formability: High ductility allows forming without compromising material integrity.
- High corrosion resistance: Ideal for humid, industrial, or marine environments.
- Easy to weld: The annealed temper allows trouble-free welding, ideal for projects requiring high-quality joints.
- Lightweight: Low weight simplifies transport and installation in various applications.
- Good availability and versatility: Used across many industries due to balanced properties and accessible cost.
Construction industry:
- Applications: Architectural cladding, facades, roofs, decorative panels, and non-load-bearing structural elements.
Automotive industry:
- Applications: Decorative components, vehicle trim, interior panels, and non-structural body parts.
- Manufacturing industry:
Applications: Containers, storage tanks, boxes, and industrial components not subjected to heavy loads.
Transportation industry:
- Applications: Trailer coverings, truck components, transport systems, and containers requiring low weight and corrosion resistance.
Packaging industry:
- Applications: Beverage cans, food packaging, and other packaging products requiring easy forming.
